This fascinating story chronicles the life of John Harvey Bailey, America’s most successful bank robber. Bailey was called “The Dean of American Bank Robbers,” robbing over a million dollars from banks in the 1920s and 30s and knew other noted crime figures such as Machine Gun Kelly, Alvin Karpis, and Pretty Boy Floyd. J. Evetts Haley’s other works include A Texan Looks at Lyndon, Charles Goodnight: Cowman and Plainsman and Fort Concho and the Texas Frontier among many others.

The Holy Grail of early Stevie Ray Vaughan recordings, A New Hi Dallas 1971 is a compilation of teenage bands from the Dallas area, including the fifteen-year-old Vaughan’s band Cast of Thousands. This scarce LP contains the first officially released recordings of the late Texas blues artist. Truly an amazing collector’s item.
